Peter and I have created this blog to explore the stories of our families. Not just names and dates but people and places. Who were they? What was it like in the places they lived, when they lived there? What did they do? How have our lives changed over the centuries?
We will cover quite a lot of ground. We have stories in Scotland, Ireland, England, Cornwall, America, Australia, New Zealand, France, South Africa.
Along with Myles and Donelans you will meet McDonalds and Hunters, Cookes and Aylwards, De Montmorencys and Hargreaves. The list is never ending. There’s always a new name to discover.
I maintain that all lives are interesting and our research into our people has demonstrated that. We feel as if we have got to know these families and feel connected to them. I hope you will feel the same when you read about our shared ancestors.
This blog is experimental and will evolve as we go. Let us know what you think. We welcome your feedback. Please make comments and ask questions. Who in our shared family would you like to know more about?
I look forward to reading the family stories as Sally and Peter compile them 😍
